PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC DESIGN |
At LDD we have extensive FPGA and programmable logic expertise. Our greatest familiarity is with Altera and Xilinx devices. We are conversant with Quartus, Synplify, LeonardoSpectrum, FPGAexpress and ISE design tools and produce designs using VHDL, AHDL or schematic entry. We are always happy to recommend tools and silicon to suit specific requirements. Recent designs have included:
One exciting approach of which we are strong advocates is Altera's System-on-a-programmable-chip (sopc). Logic, complex functional cores and embedded processors, such as the Altera Nios processor, are combined in a single programmable device. This approach has a lot of advantages. Such systems can be extremely cost effective, have high obsolescence proofing, and are extremely flexible. Our recently developed PCI core (rev 2.2 compliant) is available for inclusion in such designs and can offer our customers significant cost savings. We have the flexibility to meet customer needs whether that's providing custom designed cores, FPGA designs or complete integrated solutions including circuit design and board layout.
